Depth of Bacterial Penetration into Dentinal Tubules after Use of Different Irrigation Solutions: A Systematic Review of In Vitro Studies

(1) The objective of the study is to conduct a comprehensive systematic review in vitro studies order assess depth which E. faecalis bacteria penetrate human dentinal tubules after use various irrigation solutions. (2) Methods: A literature search MEDLINE, Scopus, Cochrane CENTRAL, and Embase databases was conducted, as well backward forward citation search. Two independent reviewers then selected suitable based on inclusion exclusion criteria. Data were extracted risk bias methodology evaluated. (3) Results: Out total 504 papers evaluated following removal duplicates, 7 met criteria included review. heterogeneity made it impossible perform meta-analysis. majority reported that sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX) can affect penetration suspensions. this possess moderate high thus represent evidence antimicrobial activity NaOCl CHX affects intra-tubular bacteria. (4) Conclusions: indicates irrigants may inside tubules. Standardized high-quality methods are needed evaluate bacterial studies.
